Lloyd E. Jackson, 91, died November 7, 2014, in Tulsa. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a World War II veteran and long-time aerospace engineer. Lloyd was born in Pittsburgh, PA, but moved with his family to Tulsa, where he graduated from Central High School. It was there that he met his wife-to-be, Eleanor, to whom he was married for 68 years until Eleanor's death in 2010. Lloyd enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1942, and served during World War II with the Flying Tigers unit in China. After returning to Tulsa, he graduated in 1949 with a BS in engineering from Tulsa University. He later received a MS in engineering from OSU. He enjoyed a successful 36-yeaer career as an aerospace engineer and engineering executive, primarily in Tulsa with Douglas Aircraft, North American Aviation, and Rockwell International. He worked on several high-profile programs, including the Apollo space program and the Space Shuttle. After his retirement in 1986, Lloyd enjoyed traveling with Eleanor and frequent golf-lunch outings with former work colleagues. He is survived by daughter, Nancy Yeager of Tulsa, son Robert Jackson of Santa Rosa, CA, and by grandchildren Kimberly Hyatt, Melissa Walker, Daniel Jackson, Neil Jackson and Garret Yeager, as well as great-grandchildren Ryan and Natalie Walker, Clayton Yeager, and Nolan Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on November 14 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st, Tulsa.
