Lois Ione Greene Smith Whitney was born on March 27, 1928 in Roby, Texas to John Murray Greene and Lura Gertrude Robertson.
Named after her Aunt Lois – Linnie Lois Greene Curran
Graduate of Central High School 1946 as Class Valdevictorian
Attended TU
She married Ray Wilcox Smith on June 1, 1947, they had two children.
A Life long banker First National Bank & Trust, later years Bank of Oklahoma.
Active in Eastern Star, Amaranth, & White Shrine her entire life.
Attended East Tulsa Christian Church Tulsa, Ok
She married George Wilcoxin Whitney on January 22, 1971.
Being amongst the oldest of 14 children, Lois often hosted family get-togethers.
In her later years she spent time making quilts, afgans, Christmas Stockings for each of her kids, grand kids and many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed her grand children and great grandchildren and spending time with her siblings.
