Lola Deane Reid passed away quietly and peacefully on May 2, 2016. She was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on November 24, 1926 to Glenn F. and Ruby K. Pearson. Her parents and husband, Richard W. Reid preceded her in death. She is survived by her three daughters, Susan Reid Haslett and husband Randy, of Broken Arrow, OK, Teresa Reid Mueller and husband Edward, of Guymon, Oklahoma and Angela Reid Lemons and husband Floyd, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Kay Reid O'Brien of Houston, Texas, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lola Deane was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at Oklahoma A&M College, (now Oklahoma State University). Early on, Lola was employed by Stillwater National Bank and after she married she became a devoted homemaker. Lola was a loving mother and along with Richard, they passed down their love of learning and music. Later, she was a licensed realtor in the Jenks/Tulsa area and she called Jenks home. In retirement, she enjoyed being with family and grandchildren. Her passions included being a founding member of "The Dames" book club, a long-standing member of two bridge clubs, her love of writing poetry was encouraged by her good friends and she even began sharing her works during Barnes and Noble's Poetry Night. She was an active member of Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church for 40 years.
