Lorene C. Summers was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 3, 1924. She joined her son Larry, her parents Robert L. and Sarah Lucretia Cates as well as her dear brothers and sisters in Heaven on Saturday, June 04, 2016.
Lorene was retired from an amazing career with Renbergs fine clothing. She finalized her career as the lingerie buyer after managing that department at Southroads Mall in Tulsa. She impressed everyone with her talent of selecting just the right article of lovely lingerie for her countless loyal customers.
While Lorene devoted herself to a successful career, her proudest accomplishments were her roles as a mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, daughter, sister, Aunt and friend. Her home was always open to her family and the friends of her children. She loved her nieces and nephews unconditionally.
Lorene was preceded in death by her son, Larry W. Summers as well as her parents and brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Gary Summers of Claremore; her daughter, Pam Summers of Tulsa; her Grandchildren, Brett Summers and his wife Renee, Athens Georgia, Marnie Messler and her husband Mike of Alpharetta Georgia, Jennifer Elliott Willis and husband David of Dallas Texas, and Kathryn Bacon and her husband Todd of Tulsa; her precious Great Grandchildren, Blake and Taylor Willis of Dallas, Connor and Kamryn Bacon of Tulsa and Genevieve Summers of Athens Georgia.
Her Granddaughter Kathryn lovingly helped care for her for the last 10 years of her life. The entire family gives Kathryn and everyone else who cared for Lorene their heartfelt gratitude.
