Bruce, Lorraine M. (Engeln), was born 9/21/1928 in Chicago, IL to Peter Leo and Marena Dean Engeln. Lorrie reunited with her forever love, Stuart Bruce, Sr., and daughter, Robin Bruce, on January 10, 2017, at the age of 88.

In addition to her many friends, Lorrie leaves behind her children who adored her, Stuart Bruce Jr., River Grove, IL, Debra Chadwick (Charles), Tulsa, OK, and Bradley Bruce (Joy), Houston, TX; grandchildren, Julie Bruce Hill (Aaron), Monet Bruce, and Daniel Bruce; great-grandchildren, Emma, Brandon, and Adrianna Hill; and brother, Thomas Williams (Nora), McKinney, TX.

She was very involved in her young children's activities and was very proud of her years as a Girl Scout leader. She went to work only after her youngest was in school, and spent over 25 years at Wright Junior College in Chicago. Lorrie was a fabulous cook and loved to entertain. She loved deeply, was fiercely loyal, and loved to have a good time. She would tell you that her favorite and most important job was that of mother and wife. Above all, her family was her pride and joy.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband of 66 years, Stuart, and her daughter Robin.
