Obituary

Lorrie Ann Medford, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior after a short illness Wednesday, September 16, 2015 surrounded by friends and family. Lorrie was born March 22, 1949, in Buffalo, NY., to Raymond and Donna (Baker) Van Every.

Lorrie loved life and living it to the fullest. She especially enjoyed going to dinner and a movie with her friends, dressing up, and going to parties. From ballroom dancing to taking trips with her friends and family, she was constantly active and was always enriching the lives of those around her. Lorrie was dedicated to serving her Lord and Savior in everyday life, which was evident in her service to others.

Lorrie is survived by her older sister Rabia Fournier (Buffalo, NY) and her twin sister Jackie Johnson (Tulsa, OK). Nieces and nephews: Matthew and Roseann Johnson, Kenath and Rachel Johnson, David (Johnson) Lowry and his wife Morgan, and Timothy Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Lorrie received her BA in Communications from Evergreen State College and was licensed as a Certified Nutritionist from The American Health Science University. Additionally, she was a Certified Nutritional Microscopist and a Certified Fitness Trainer from The International Sports Science Association (ISSA). She also received certification in Practical Herbal Therapy from the Texas Chiropractic College.

Because of her passion for helping people live in health, she opened her own Nutritional Consulting business (Life Design Nutrition) in 1998, and wrote nine books on nutrition. It was her desire that this work continue under the direction of Dr. Eric Schluter at 9726 E 42nd St #231, Tulsa, OK 74146.

Lorrie was the nutritional consultant to the Miss Oklahoma organization and counseled four former Miss Oklahoma winners. She also counseled two Miss America winners as well as a number of other famous clients. Lorrie ranked in the top 10 certified nutritionists in the country. She impacted the lives of more than 12,000 clients in areas of lifestyle, health and weight loss.
