Louis Lee Richardson was born on O'Coy Hill in Craig County Oklahoma on May 3, 1935 to Orville Richardson and Florence Webb Richardson Dickerson. He graduated from Vinita High School. He then attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma. He completed his mortuary science training at Gupton-Jones Mortuary of Science College in Dallas, Texas in 1957. Louis spent most of his career in the funeral business as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. He had an amazing gift serving people. Louis was preceded in death by his parents and step-dad Calvin Dickerson, his son Michael (Mike) Eugene Richardson, his brother Jay Richardson and his sister Juanita Hopkins. Louis passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his daughter Wendi Jo Lehr and her husband Sean of Melissa, Texas; three grandchildren, Cameron Lehr (19), Caroline Cavender (18) and Carson Lehr (9); his sons Louis D'Wayne Richardson, and James Alan Richardson of Houston, Texas and daughter Kendall Deeann Samford of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by his sister Gerry Hopkins Wente of Blackwell, Oklahoma as well as several nieces and nephews.
He loved being with his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle visiting new places; feeding the birds; gardening; and always strived to be a "Do It Yourselfer". He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tulsa and also a member of the Elks Lodge.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, Oklahoma on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:30 pm. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
