Louis D. Thomas, 81, of Edmond, OK, passed away Friday, October 22, 1976, at Edmond Nursing Center. He was born on Thursday, October 25, 1894, in Cedar Switch [maybe Cedarville or Cedar Creek], AR, to C. A. Thomas and Mathilda Jane (Stout) Thomas. Louis was proud to have served as one of our nation's finest, as a Sergeant in Company C of the 358th Infantry, in World War I. He was married to Bonnie L. (Lokey) Thomas, was a member of Mason's Christian Church, and was a retired building contractor. Louis is survived by his wife, Bonnie of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Nadine Agnes Eckenrode and husband Leonard of Owasso, OK, and Mrs. Lucille Lambert and husband, Jack of Tulsa, OK; sister, Lenore Blair of Evergreen, CO; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Lester Smith of Edmond, OK, and Mrs. Bert Brewster of Choctaw, OK; stepson, Gail Burris of California; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by is parents; and first wife, Myrtle A. Thomas, who died in 1969.
