Loyd Bernard Wilson passed away April 14, 2021. Loyd was born on November 11, 1919, in De Queen, AR. He was a Navy WWII veteran, proud and humble about his service. Loyd was also a proud member of the Carpenters Union for over 65 years.
Loyd began his career as a carpenter and retired as Construction Superintendent. He was married to Lahoma Langley Wilson for 78 years at her passing. Loyd was heavily involved with the Community of Christ Church. He helped to construct Saint's Grove campgrounds in Stillwater, OK and built furniture to support silent auction fundraisers. Loyd was a doer; he was always prepared to volunteer where there was a need whether it was for the church, his community, or for a friend. He was a dedicated family man and was always ready to help the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Wilson and Thelma Straughn as well as his beloved wife Lahoma Langley Wilson and two sons Bernard and Brian Wilson. Loyd is survived by his children Michelle, Patricia and Kevin, Grandchildren Danette, Tracey, Brad, Star, Heidi, J.L., and Gary. Great grandchildren Cory, Nathan, Jonny, Christian, Maddie, Shelby, Kyley, Kelsey and Ethan. Great-great grandchildren Tatum, Echo, Easton, Avery, Sadie Lee, Nathan, and Coda.
