Obituary

Lucille Cavalier Brown Franklin passed from this earth on Friday May 19, 2017after a second stroke from which she could not recover. Lucille was born in Locust Grove OK (which she referred to as the "Spring Creek Reservation) on September 30,1922 to Ted and Mary Alice Cavalier. She loved her Cherokee heritage and loved growing up on the farm in Locust Grove surrounded by her uncles and other family members.
While raising her three children, she went to work at Merrill, Lynch stock exchange in 1956 and spent the next 41 years working as a margins bookkeeper and then as a receptionist, finaIly retiring at the age of 75. Lucille bled Merrill, Lynch blue and loved the stock market. She also was a successful Avon representative for 40 years, always aspiring to make Presidents Club, which she did for at least 25 of those years. She was a member of the Oil Capital Chapter of ABWA and served as past president and was Woman of the Year in 1986. Needless to say, she had tenacity and loved to be around people. Her love for adventure took her to all 50 States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, Spain, Portugal, Russia and all parts in between. She was always ready to go. Lucille was also a 22-year Breast Cancer survivor. She had spunk. Lucille was a dedicated daughter and sister, a loyal friend, a hard worker, but
more than anything, she was a devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother. She was proud of her family and gave unconditional love and her children knew she had their backs at all times. Lucille leaves behind her son, Sonny (Sonia) Brown, daughters, Gail (Jim) Cook and Beverly (Steve) Schneider, grandchildren Jeff (Angie) Cook and Jill (Joe) Hull, great grandson Aaron (Jolisa) Salisbury, and great-great-grandson Kayden Salisbury. Lucille was predeceased by her parents, sisters Mary Louise Sturdy and Teddie Mae Holmes, and her first grandson, Paul Brown.
'The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living(Broken Arrow) and RoseRock' Hospice for the loving care and respect they gave to Lucille.
Will Rogers once said he "never met a man he didn't like." No one ever met Lucille who didn't like her.
There is going to be a party in Heaven and Lucille will have her dancing shoes on!
"How can we thank God enough for you and for the joy and delight you have given us"
