LUCILLE V. SMITH WILLIAMS passed from this life on Monday, March 13, 2023, in Tulsa, OK. Lucille was born on March 8, 1920, and celebrated her 103rd birthday last Wednesday with many friends and received 100 cards.
She was born to the late Sid P. and Cleo Smith in Marshall Co. She completed her education in a 2 room school in Fobb, OK, where she earned honors as the Spelling Champion.
In Oct of 1947, she met Doyle (Dutch) Williams from McAlester on a blind date. They married 6 months later and move to Midwest City, OK, until 2004, when they moved to Tulsa. Lucille was a loving wife of 70 years and a devoted mother to her 2 daughters - Linda and Nancy.
She was a perfect homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning, and was an expert seamstress. She loved a good game of dominoes and could rarely be beaten. Her family always knew where the best food in OK was served...her kitchen - especially her pies. Her favorite holiday was Christmas where she enjoyed wrapping the most beautiful packages.
She had a quiet, gentle nature and was an exceptional listener who gave honest and sound advice. Her loving smile was a beacon of kindness and patience that provided encouragement to her family, friends, and especially her adoring nieces and nephews.
Lucille loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith-based life was exhibited by her caring and compassionate nature.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doyle, her parents, and siblings; Chois, Marie, Inez, Calvin, Sidney, and Colleen. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are her two daughters - Linda Mooney of Tulsa and Nancy Williams of Midwest City who are certain they had the world's Most Perfect Mother.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Lucille's honor to
