Lucy Jane (Anderson) Cooper passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at the age of 89. Jane was born on April 4, 1936 in Bagdad, Florida to the late Tobias and Lugania (Redd) Anderson. She was preceded in death by four brothers (Albert, Joe, Bud and Ralph) and two sisters (Inez Cropper and Mildred Pugh).
Jane is survived by her husband of 70 years, Olen Cooper as well as three daughters, Sandra Cooper McWaters (Bobby), Sherry Cooper Bales(Russell) and Terri Cooper Trevor (Robert).
She was blessed with Twelve grandchildren, Thirty great grandchildren and Ten great great grandchildren.
Caring for her family was always her first priority so she stayed home to raise her daughters. She did this by not only cooking the best food in the world but she was also as excellent seamstress. She loved to sew and made everything from Wedding Dresses to Barbie Clothes. When her girls were grown she worked as an Ophthalmologist Assistant and in the School of Music at the University of Georgia.
Jane and Olen are members of the Broken Arrow Baptist Temple in Broken Arrow, OK.
Pastor Greg McEntyre and Assistant Pastor Brenton McEntyre will perform the services. Viewing and Services will be held at the Broken Arrow Baptist Temple, 2701 East Albany St., Broken Arrow, OK. Graveside services will be immediately following at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
