Lucy Faye
Ward
June 3, 1941 – March 15, 2026
With tender hearts and precious memories, we announce the passing of Lucy Faye Ward, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord. Lucy went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Lucy was born on June 3, 1941, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Jesse and Dottie Richardson. She was raised in a loving home where family was central-values she carried with her throughout her life. Lucy accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age, and her faith remained the guiding light of her life.
Lucy met and married the love of her life, Joseph (Tiny) Alton Ward, on May 15, 1959. Their marriage was a beautiful example of devotion and partnership, lasting 65 wonderful years. Together, they built a home filled with love, faith, and laughter and were blessed with two daughters, Debbie and Diana. Lucy's greatest joy was her family, and she dedicated her life to nurturing, encouraging, and praying for them.
Lucy was known for her caring heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness. She held a special place in so many people's hearts. She knew no strangers-everyone was welcome. Whether caring for her home, supporting her husband and children, or helping those around her, she lived a beautiful life. She had a special gift for making others feel welcome and loved, and her home was always open to family and friends-with ice cream included, along with banana pudding, chocolate pie, chocolate-covered peanuts, and the list goes on and on.
She was also gifted in jewelry making and crocheting and loved sharing her talents with everyone she met. She loved pink-everything had to be pink. We know her angel wings will be pink for sure.
Lucy was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she worshiped and served for many years. She also served in ministry for 30 years with Thy Kingdom Come Ministries touching countless lives through her dedication, compassion, and servant's heart. Her life reflected her deep love for the Lord.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and making special memories. One of her greatest blessings was being a "Mimi" to Ava, Luci, and Lily, who brought her endless pride and joy. Her love, wisdom, and sweet presence will forever remain in their hearts-her little dolls.
Lucy is survived by her daughters, Debbie McIntosh (Roley) of Eufaula, Oklahoma and step-grandchildren Spencer, Tyler, Elijah, Samantha and 10 step great grandchildren. Diana Lange (Bob) of Castle Rock, Colorado; Ava, Luci, and Lily; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Joseph (Tiny) Alton Ward and her parents, three siblings and one great step-grandson.
A celebration of Lucy's life will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 14100 East 86th Street North, Owasso, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Warner Memorial Cemetery in Warner, Oklahoma.
Lucy's life was a beautiful reflection of faith, love, and devotion. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now rejoicing in the presence of her Savior and reunited with the love of her life, Joe.
"Well done, thy good and faithful servant." (Mathew 25:23). Forever in our hearts.
