Obituary
Luther Q. McAlister, 92, passed away Friday, December 29th, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. Born March 17th, 1925 in Tulsa, OK to Louise and Luther G. McAlister.
He went to Central High School through 11th grade and later obtained his GED. He left school to work and support his mother, whom he adored. On November 23, 1956 he married Mary Brasel. He worked in the carpet and tile business until retirement.
He raced Hot Rods, flew model airplanes, restored classic cars and ran in the Tulsa Run. Luther also loved to play sports and bowl in his spare time. He later participated in the Senior Olympics, winning over 40 first place medals. Following in his fathers footsteps he was also a member of the Tulsa Masonic Lodge.
He has three loving daughters, the youngest of whom he delivered himself at home with a little help from a dispatcher on the phone.
He is preceded in death by his mother, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and many other loving family and friends.
Viewing will be 11:00am - 8pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel. Services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel.
