Lyle Denver McClure "Denny", 87 years old, passed away Saturday June 15th 2019, surrounded by his loved ones in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born in Butlerville Arkansas on September 22nd, 1931 . He was the Son of Lyle F. and Elora McClure. Lyle was a Patriot of our armed services. At the age of 16 years old he exaggerated his birthdate to enlist and serve his country. He was honorably discharged from the Arkansas Army National Guard's 445th Field Artillery Battalion, "B" Battery, of Newport, Arkansas, with the rank of Sergeant. He served in the Korean War, voluntarily on the front line, and then came home to utilize the G.I. Bill to further his education at the University of Arkansas, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. He worked in the petroleum industry as a chemist and sales manager until the time of his retirement from Baker Hughes. Lyle was married to Marye Phyllis Bogan on March 8th 1957. They were avid golfers and longtime members of Tulsa Country Club. Lyle enjoyed time with his beloved family, golfing with his wife, fishing, horse races, evening glasses of wine, and spending mornings eating McDonalds breakfast after walking Woodland Hills mall with his friends. Lyle excreted limitless love as a husband and brother; was an adoring Uncle to his nieces and nephews and exhibited profound fundamentals, patience, and kindness as a parent, grandfather and great- grandfather. Lyle is survived by his Sister Pate Stanphill, Brother Frank and his wife Una McClure and Daughter and her husband Phyllis and Jeff Jones; his six grandchildren and their spouses, Kyle Jones and Kenda Jones, Jenny and Nick Covey , Mindy and Ze Mustafa, Ashley and Rusty Aich, and Dustin and Hannah Jones; and seven great-grandchildren, Kayden, Dallas, Heath, Rylee, Corbin, Zeke, and Emmett. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Mayre; His Parents, Lyle and Elora, and Sister and Brother, Juanita Sutton and Alton McClure. Donations would be appreciatively received by the Wounded Warrior Project. Viewing shall be the morning of Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Moore Funeral Home located at 1908 S Memorial Drive, in Tulsa Oklahoma.
Viewing will be 1-2 PM, Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51, Tulsa, OK followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, Moore's Southlawn Chapel, Tulsa, OK
