Mabel Irean Grider, 73, of 1711 W. Cameron St., Tulsa, OK, passed away Saturday, December 23, 1978, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK of respiratory failure. She was born in Geary, OK on March 16, 1905 to William Lonzo Souther and Gertrude Ethlyn Fancher Souther. Mabel was a retired stenographer for Evans Pipeline Co., Tulsa, OK. She was survived by daughter, Mrs. Gary (Marilyn) Umbarger, of Tulsa, OK; 2 grandsons, Robert C. and Rickey C. Umbarger, both of Tulsa, OK; 5 sisters; Mrs. Paul W. (Alice) Gulley, Mrs. Trudy Diez,, Mrs. Estell Hotzfeld, all of Tulsa, OK, Mrs. J. M. (Wilma) Oliver, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Mrs. Charles (Raychel) Osborn, of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross G. Grider, who died in 1970.
