MADELINE (BABE) SPICER BLISS was born on December 20, 1921 in Madill, Oklahoma to Harmon and Bettie Spicer. Madeline died October 11, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Madeline graduated from Madill High School and then completed Business College before beginning a lifetime career as a business secretary for several builders and construction companies. After having worked in Amarillo, TX and other west Texas communities she moved to Tulsa in 1954. She retired in Tulsa in 1985.
She was a long time and active member of Highland Park Christian Church where she regularly volunteered to help in the Church Office. She continued to volunteer until 2013 when her macular degeneration made it impossible to continue.
She remained active in her attendance and participation in her Adult Bible Class. She was also an avid Skip-Bo player with friends from Highland Park.
Madeline was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister Jean and brother-in-law, Bob Hamer.
She is survived by her nephew, Derrick Johnson and his wife, Jodi and by their children Chris and wife, Alexis Johnson and Nikki, and husband, Clayton Turner.
Funeral services under the direction of Moore Funeral Homes will be held at Highland Park Christian Church on Thursday, October 16, 2014. viewing will take place at Moore's Memory Chapel, 1403 South Peoria Avenue on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 10:00 a. m. to 8:00 p. m.
