Obituary

Don Tarpley was born February 27, 1932. He was born to Forere and Eva Lois (Langston) Tarpley in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. He spent several years in the Armed Forces and served in the Korean War. After retiring from the military, he was a taxi driver for the city of Tulsa. He worked for Oral Roberts University, PSO, and The City of Tulsa as an engineer.

Don dedicated many years of his life to raising his children and being an adoring husband to his wife. He was a man of faith and loved the written word. He spent many hours a day reading scripture. Don spent much of his life pouring into his family and people in need, taking in numerous family members that were displaced. He loved gospel music and teaching Sunday school where he faithfully attended church.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth Tarpley, his sons Michael Tarpley and Richard and Larry Osburn. Don is survived by his grandson Chad, wife Katie, and their children Kaleb and Bree Osburn along with other grandchildren. Don went to be with the Lord May 8th, 2023.

Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 26th at Memorial Park Cemetery.
