Obituary

Marcie Hearn, age 87, went to be with her Savior in Heaven on September 15, 2016. She was born Grace Marceline Johnson on November 30, 1928 in Greenwood, AR to Raymond and Gertie Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, younger brother, Jack Johnson, and husband, Clarence Hearn.

Marcie grew up in a small town but took advantage of every opportunity to be involved with other people and get the most out of life. She was active in her church, excelled in academics and played high school basketball.

After graduation, Marcie worked for the Ft. Smith Times as a reporter. But she soon met and married the love of her life, Clarence Hearn. They moved to Tulsa, OK in 1952 where she has lived since. While raising four children, her work was being PTA President, Sunday School teacher, and being very involved in the activities of her family.

As her children got older, she decided to get a license in real estate which was a perfect fit for her personality, skills and desire to help people. She began with the Beacon Company, and later worked with the Rooney Company, Ted Sherwood Realty, and McGraw Davisson Stewart. She was a multi-million dollar salesperson and received many awards for her work over the four decades of her career.

Marcie's faith in God gave her life purpose and joy that she shared with others and was lived out as a wife, mother, professional and friend. She and Clarence were active members of Sheridan Road Baptist Church where they made many life-long friends. Marcie taught Sunday School to hundreds of children and teens over the years, and later a class of women who dearly loved her. She started an annual Widow's Luncheon to make a very special day for widows of the church, many of whom considered this day a highlight of the year.

Marcie is survived by her children: Daughter Debbie Nomura and husband, Mike (children John Nomura (Mariah) & Jennifer Boutwell (Stewart), Daughter Diana Christensen (children, Megan Riettini (Michael) and Jordan Flad), Daughter Denise DeLorey and husband, Mike, and Son David Hearn, wife, Nancy (children, Jason (fiance Natalie), Tyler, Nathan (Grace), Bethany Murray (Brett) and Blake (Lindsay). Great grandchildren, Heidi Hearn, Roman and Charlotte Hearn and Avery Murray and Richard Riettini due early October.

Extended family includes brothers and sister in laws and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by countless friends whose lives she has impacted throughout the years. Her sense of humor, sensitivity to the needs of others, and giving spirit brought love, respect, and long term friendships.

Family will receive guests on Sunday, September 18, from 4 to 6 pm, and the funeral service will be Monday, September 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm, both at Moore's Southlawn Funeral Home in Tulsa. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family has designated Nightlight Christian Adoptions (5110 S. Yale, Tulsa) and the Baptist Children's Home at Owasso (12700 E. 76th St. No, Owasso) for memorial contributions. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233 share memories at www.moorefuneral.com
