Margaret E. (Byerley) Coutant passed away on August 16, 2015 at the age of 94. She was born on April 21, 1921 in Humboldt, Kansas and is preceded in death by her husband, William Richard (Dick) Coutant; her daughter, Marilyn Croston; her son, William Richard (Rick) Coutant; and her grandson, Matt Coutant. She is survived by her son, Kevin Coutant and wife, Dell Anna Coutant of Tulsa; her daughter-in-law, Sherry Coutant of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Keely Shirley of Frisco, Texas; Brian and Sarah Croston of Cincinnati, Ohio; Jason and Laura Coutant of Tulsa; Marie and Eric Johnston of Moore, Oklahoma; Anna and Joe Barnard of Kiltarlity, Scotland; and twelve loving great-grandchildren.
Margaret grew up in Humboldt and met her future husband while attending Iola Junior College. Together, they attended the University of Kansas. Her adult life took her and her family to numerous places around the country, and her travels with Dick took them throughout the world. She loved her association with P.E.O. and was always committed to their charitable objective, women's education. Margaret was a devoted wife and mother who loved life and lived life with great charm and dignity. All who knew her will miss her life of faith, her captivating smile and her girlish giggle.
Service will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5111 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK.
