Obituary

Margaret Nell Fields age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026, surrounded by family at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Margaret was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on March 08, 1935, to the late Jess McLemore and Dora "Hopper" McLemore. She attended Seneca Elementary Boarding School and graduated from Chilocco High Boarding School. Upon graduation she attended Haskell Junior College where she met the love of her life Artussee Fields Sr. They went on to have 4 children. Her children were the light of her life. Always telling them 'I love you' every single day. She always made sure that her children felt her love.

She was a hardworking woman throughout her life. She was so proud to serve on the Sequoyah High School Board for 4 years and loved supporting Sequoyah athletics. For over 40 years Margaret worked at Memorex Telex. After retirement she went to work part-time at Will Rogers High School as a cashier at the snack shop.

Margaret lit up any room she entered with her radiant smile and cheerful personality. Always had a positive spirit that never wavered. She was God fearing woman, who would always tell others, "Jesus loves you and so do I!"

Her greatest joy came from the love, laughter, and memories created with her family and friends. She shared a special bond with her siblings, who were also her best friends. Everyone always knew when you see one of the "golden girls" the others are not too far behind. A highlight of her life was a motorcycle ride with her brother Ronnie from Oklahoma to Florida. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, playing board games and cards with her siblings and family. She loved bowling, participating in many leagues and tournaments. Well-known as 'mother nature' within the leagues.

Margaret will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Her love, kindness, and beautiful spirit touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. The memories she created and the love she shared will remain in our hearts forever.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; Jess & Dora McLemore, siblings; Francis Moreno, Richard McLemore, Jessie McLemore Jr., and Ronnie McLemore; husband; Artussee Fields Sr.; son; Artussee Fields Jr.; granddaughter; Huddie Yahola.
