Margaret "Maggie" Morgan, 94 was born between Groom and Pampa, TX to James O. and Elsie Detrick McCracken on November 1, 1928. She was married to Carl C. Morgan, MD an anesthesiologist at the OU Medical Center, later at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa. They had three sons, Kevin (Christy) of Williamsburg, VA; Wyatt Morgan of Tulsa; and Daniel (Stephanie) of Broken Arrow, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Maggie Morgan graduated from Pampa High School and attended the University of Oklahoma earning a nursing degree. She worked several rotations as a nurse at OU and met Dr. Carl Morgan after he returned from WWII from the Pacific War. Maggie and Carl moved to Tulsa in 1951 when Carl accepted a position as an anesthesiologist at St. John's and Maggie volunteered in civic and church organizations until their sons came along. Maggie was a wonderful mother, cook, chauffer and disciplinarian as needed, she supported Carl and the family in a spirit of excellence and was respected by all.

Maggie will be missed by everyone who knew her and was characterized by a wonderful sense of humor, a radiant smile, by her love of her God, husband, family and community. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 13th at 2:00pm in the sanctuary of Boston Avenue United Church, Reverend David Wiggs officiating. The community is invited and donations may be made to Boston Avenue United Methodist Church; the Genesis Class of Boston Avenue, or to Trinity Woods Senior Living in Tulsa.
