On Sunday, May 20, 2018, Margaret Pauline (Miller) Shaffer stepped into glory to meet her Savior at 98 years. During the Great Depression, she quit school to help on her family's farm near Bartlesville. When World War II came, Margaret built airplanes at Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa. Later, she became a nurse's aid at St. Francis Hospital, and she worked faithfully as a pastor's wife for almost half a century.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 72 years Virgil, her daughter Margie (Alan) Conditt, six grandchildren - Kimberly (Jason) Phillips, Melody (Chuck) Smiddy, DeAnna (Danny) Calhoun, David (Dana) Conditt, Daniel (Leslie) Conditt, and Twyla (Cory) Davis - and sixteen great-grandchildren - Caleb, Andrew, Camryn, Taylor, Mandy, Zachary, Jacob, Gideon, Lauren, Makayla, Zephany, Logan, Evan, Reagan, Madison, and Maleigh. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her seven siblings.
A funeral service in memory of Margaret will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018, at 2:00pm at Moore Funeral Home - 9350 E. 51st St - in Tulsa with Pastor Daniel Conditt officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
