Obituary

Margaret Helen Miles Stone, lovingly known as "Peggy," died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Monday morning, June 5, 2017.
She was born on April 20, 1933 to Paul and Helen Miles in Decatur, Illinois. She met Clifford O. Stone Jr. and they married in Bremerton, Washington on February 27, 1954.
Peggy and Clifford returned to Oklahoma and lived in Norman for Clifford to complete Law School at the University of Oklahoma. In 1961 they moved to Tulsa. They also resided in Denver, Colorado and Leawood, Kansas.
Peggy was extremely gifted in Homemaking and particularly talented in sewing, painting and cooking. She loved people and made great friends everywhere she went.
Peggy leaves behind many who love her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford (married 57 years), her brother Tom Miles and nephew, David Miles, her mother, Helen Miles.
She leaves behind her children, Elizabeth Ann Stone Marvin, Julie Ruth Stone and Clifford Brett Stone and daughter in law, Soni Stone. Her grandchildren, Charles Marvin, Melissa Marvin, William Marvin, Jake Stone, Ryan Stone, and Luke Stone; her sister in law and brother in law, Leslie and Donna Vaughan of Oklahoma City and nieces Debbie Hanebutt, Sara Husebo, and Becky Potts of Oklahoma City; her sister in law, Janice Miles and niece, Susan Miles VonHernmon. And many close friends, both in Tulsa, Denver, and Kansas City. She leaves behind her loving friend and companion of the last 4 and half years, Douglas Zook.
We will celebrate Peggy's life on Tuesday, June 13, at 1:00 PM at Tulsa Bible Church with a reception following. Private burial will be at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery next to Clifford.
Viewing will be on Friday, June 9, from 4 to 6 PM at Moore�s Rosewood Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Peggy's name to (JDRF - Tulsa) Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 907 S. Detroit Ave. #1006 Tulsa, Oklahoma 74120 C/O - Luke Stone her grandson.
