Margie's grandchildren lovingly referred to her as "Grandma Hops", a nickname that extended in use to so many that knew and loved her. She was also a beloved "Aunt Margie" to her nieces and nephews.
To know Margie was to love her. She was amiable, generous and funny; known for her quick wit and lighthearted, friendly demeanor. She was always chatting with people she might meet in a store or a restaurant and had dozens of wonderful longtime friends.
Margie was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1943. The majority of her career was spent working as a secretary for several executives at Amoco Corporation. She was always a stickler for proper spelling and grammar, and truly enjoyed her work, colleagues, and bosses. Through the years of working and raising children and into retirement, Margie & Bob spent much of their time with family and dear friends at Grand Lake. The two were hosts to hundreds over the decades who fondly recall Margie's delicious cooking and the Todd's warm, seemingly effortless, hospitality.
Margie was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed attending Oklahoma State football games and wrestling matches with friends. She loved all types of social activities, continuing to play bridge right up to her death. Margie touched countless lives during her 98 years on earth. Though she was loved and respected by so many, she was humble and thoughtful always. We will miss her laughter, sparkling eyes and hugs forever and are so thankful for the times we had with her. Here's to Hops!
