Marian Roth Bovaird died on December 11, 2024, at the age of 97. She was born February 16, 1927, in Tulsa, the first child of John and Laura Roth and granddaughter of pioneer Tulsans, Dr. A.W. and Anna C. Roth. Marian graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1944 and Wellesley College in 1948.
She married William J. Bovaird, "Bill" in 1948. They lived in Kansas and west Texas for several years before making Tulsa their permanent home. Marian was a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church and an active community volunteer which included being among the founding members of the Gillies. She also appreciated her many friends in the Tulsa Shakespeare Club and the Ruskin Art Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001, and her eldest son, "Bo" in 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Libby Adams Gaddis, her son John and wife Beth Bovaird, son Davis Bovaird, son Brian Bovaird, and six grandchildren, Blake (Rachel) and Eric (Erin) Adams, Taylor Bovaird (Drew Barnes) and Chase Bovaird (Phuong Do), Kelly Bovaird and Blair Bovaird. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Max and Fritz Adams, Cameron and Claire Marian Adams, Bo and Cole Barnes and Vivian Bovaird. And survived by her sister, Elizabeth Roth Phelps of Southlake, Texas.

A private family burial service will occur in January 2025.
