Marie Ann Clem Donley, age 89, died on September 10, 2018 at Zarrow Pointe in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Marie was born in Larned, Kansas on October 20, 1928 and raised in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Of her time in Guymon, Marie remembers watching the hobos "leave the freight trains and walk to our house. My mother would feed them a complete meal." From 1934-1937, she remembers "the black dust clouds from the west." She writes, "I would sit on the floor in the living room of our small house and play or study. When the dust settled around us, it was still and dark."

Marie's grandparents, Charles and Anna Miller, homesteaded land that became The Miller Ranch 15 miles southeast of Guymon before Oklahoma became a state. Much of that land still remains in the Miller family. Marie writes, "I looked forward to visiting my grandparents...I kept my toys in an old washstand, which I now have in my home." Marie was an only child but shared time with her cousins at the ranch and in Liberal, Kansas.

Marie met Dick Donley in Guymon in 1951 while she was working and also commuting to Panhandle State College. They married in 1952 and had three children: Jim (1954), Jan (1956), and Jill (1965). Marie's steady presence helped the family adapt as Dick's work with Cities Service Oil Company found them moving often. Their final residence was Zarrow Pointe, where they made many friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Alta Belle Miller and Carl Clem and also by her husband Dick Donley, Marie leaves her children, Jim Donley (Marcia), Jan Donley (Diane), and Jill Klingenstein (John). She also leaves her grandchildren Brianna Ayer (Tanner), Laine Vitosh (Shane), Taryn Huber (Andrew), Kile Donley (Alyssa), Eliza Rose Donley, and Joshua Klingenstein. In addition Marie leaves four great-grandchildren Hudson Ayer, Emersyn Ayer, Gibson Ayer, and Audrey Vitosh. A fifth great-grandchild is expected soon.
