Mariellen Montgomery, 78, passed from this life on May 8, 2019 at Clarehouse where she received loving care in her final days. Her partner of 35 years, Marcia Burrus, was at her side. Mariellen was the daughter of Charles Eugene Montgomery and Jimmy Louise Montgomery, both of whom preceded her in death.

A graduate of Monte Casino, Mariellen completed her professional training in x-ray technology at Kansas City Medical Center. The majority of her professional career was spent at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa from which she retired in 2000 as Director of Imaging. She was instrumental in developing the imaging technology that is now the standard for sharing digital scans.

Mariellen was an avid sportswoman and loved the outdoors...the warmer the temperature, the better she liked it. She was an enthusiastic competitor in softball, racquetball and in later life, golf...always looking for just the right equipment to make that ball go further down the fairway.

She loved all animals, rode horses as a young girl and always had at least one dog and a cat or two as companions. Most of all Mariellen loved the water. Her idea of a perfect morning was to be on the lake as the sun rose with her fishing gear and her thoughts.

Mariellen is survived by her loving partner, Marcia Burrus, her sister-in-law Jana Harrington, her brother Tom Montgomery (Roberta), and her nephews Tom (Michelle) and Mike (Laurie).

Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 11, 2019 at St. Jerome ECC, 205 W. King St., Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
