Marilyn L Switzer Schultz passed at her home at Covenant Living Inverness in Tulsa on February 21, 2025. Marilyn was born in 1941 in Watsonville, California, the daughter of John Daniel and Evelyn Gambill Switzer. She graduated in 1963 from Fresno State University where she received a much valued California Teachers Certificate. Her teaching career spanned 30 years and included elementary schools in California, Hawaii, Germany, Arkansas and North Carolina.

In 1969 Marilyn met and married Robert Paul Schultz, a US Air Force lieutenant stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. While in Germany, their first child, Cynthia Lyn Schultz was born. Five years later, they welcomed their second child, Robert Daniel Schultz, while living in Iowa.

Marilyn and Robert were able to travel extensively in Europe in their VW camper while stationed in Germany. Their growing family did nothing to diminish Marilyn's desire to travel and explore. They began camping again shortly after Cynthia's birth by traveling to the top of the Lorelei rock in Germany. Three weeks later they were again camping in Italy. After retiring in 2000, Marilyn traveled extensively with Robert in their small RV throughout the US and Canada. She also started a successful home business sewing and selling custom made American Girl Doll Clothes.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Daniel and Wayne Switzer.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years - Robert; Daughter Cynthia (Aaron) and son Robert (Susie); Four grandchildren: Braden Milford, Ashlyn Milford, Haven Schultz, Julianna Schultz, Paul Nemeth and Haley Nemeth.
