Marilynn Joyce Lane beloved wife, mother and sister peacefully passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with Lou Gehrigs Disease. She was born January 22, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Otto and Helen Engel. Marilynn graduated in 1952 from Washington high and attended University of Wisconsin in Madison. She settled in Tulsa in 1960 with her first husband Pete Link with whom she had two children. She met and married her second husband Donald C. Lane, May 13, 1999.
Marilynn had a wonderful, independent, adventourious spirit and fulfilled her passion for travel by becoming a travel agent. Her retirement was filled with the love of family and friends and traveling the world with her husband Don. She was such a beautiful and classy lady and the grace with which she handled her illness was an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved to entertain, dance and play the accordion which always brought a smile to everyone's face.
She was adored by her many friends and family. Marilynn was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Hillary of Dallas, Texas, parents Otto and Helen Engel and brother Norman Clarence Engel.
She is survived by her husband Donald C. Lane, son, Bennett Link, PHD, wife Carla of Montana, beloved sister, Norma Michor & husband Ed of Wisconsin. She had stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces & nephews she loved dearly and a host of longtime friends.
Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, June 13, 2014, St. Simeons, 3701 Martin Luther King Blvd (previously Cincinnati Ave), in Tulsa. A celebration of Marilynns' life will be held following the memorial service at South Shore Condominium Club House, 6001 S. Atlanta Ct., across from entrance to Southern Hills Country Club.
