Marisue (Meyer) Van Zant, age 87, a great mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend to many, passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2013. Born in Tulsa August 5, 1926, Marisue graduated from Will Rogers High School and the University of Tulsa.



She was an active member of Boston Avenue Methodist Church from childhood. A lover of music, she belonged to the S.A.I. Sorority, and sang with a performing group called the Tri-Tones. She also sang solos at various events around Tulsa.



Marisue is survived by two sons, David Van Zant of Baltimore, Maryland, and James Van Zant of Tulsa, a grandson Cody Van Zant of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and two brothers, both of Tulsa, Joe Meyer and John (Jack) Meyer.
