Robinson, Marjorie Helen, age 96, of Dallas, Texas, passed away at home after a long battle with dementia, on September 3, 2021. She was born Marjorie Helen Shelton on October 5, 1924, in Claremore, Oklahoma. Though a year apart as graduates of Tulsa Central High School, she met her husband, William (Bill) J. Robinson while working at Sinclair Oil & Gas and they were married January 27, 1945. They spent 68 years together as husband and wife. Bill passed away in April 2013. Marjorie was continuously supportive of her husband and family with multiple moves around the country taking up residences in Oklahoma, Mississippi, Colorado, California, and Texas. A loving and caring mother of four, she was well organized and always the necessary point person on all domestic affairs. She was a serious lambsy card player and seldom granted "do-overs" to the less skilled players; she also enjoyed playing the piano and singing at church. In her younger days she gardened, participated in book clubs, bridge clubs, and volunteered at church, meals on wheels, and hospitals. Mom and Dad enjoyed traveling the US and the world.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Judy and Ken Jeronimus of Evergreen, Colorado; her daughter and son in-law Nancy and Brett Basnett of Plano, Texas; her son and daughter-in-law John and Sheila Robinson of Agra, Oklahoma and their three children Julia Robinson of Farmers Branch, Texas; Jim and Ashley Robinson and their three children, Stennis, Connor and William of Hurst, Texas; and Joe Robinson of Forney, Texas; and Marjorie's daughter Peggy Decker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and her daughter and son-in-law Anna and Jake Norton and their two children, Harper and Hudson of Peoria, Arizona.
She will be deeply missed by all. We want to thank mom's superb Caregivers; they all hold a special place in our hearts.
Graveside service will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma at Tulsa Memorial Cemetery Saturday, 9/11, at 10am. Please consider supporting a charity of your choice.
