Mark Anthony Ballard, 59 passed away December 16, 2017 at 6:36 pm. Mark was born on December 29, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Hollis and Joann Ballard. He graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and then joined the United States Air Force, which he served for six years as a tactical aircraft maintenance specialist. During his time serving in the Air Force he met his future wife, Rayveen Chew. Both traveled Europe and eventually settled down in Tampa Bay, where they had their first daughter, Rachel. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force Mark and Rayveen moved back to Tulsa where they had their second child, a son named Daniel. Mark went on to work as a deputy sheriff for Tulsa County and enjoys playing his guitar, listening to music and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mark is preceded in death by his step-father, Murle Fountain; father, Hollis Ballard; grandparents, John and Stella Brady. He is survived by his mother, Joann Fountain; children, daughter Rachel and husband Matthew, son Daniel Ballard; grandchildren, Nathaniel Morrison, Ronald , Robert, and Reese; brothers Larry Bacon and wife Chrystene, Forrest Allen Ballard. Mark had many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on January 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Moore Southlawn Chapel.
