Mark Alexander Chandler

Born January 5, 1963, in Fort Bragg, NC, passed away peacefully in his home Saturday, August 19, 2023.
Mark is survived by his wife Victoria Chandler of Tulsa, daughter Jordan Chandler of Tulsa, Adam Perry of Tulsa, Abbey Ojeda (Nelson) and grandchildren Perry (11), Lena (6), Elle (4), and Monroe (17 months) all of Tulsa, mother Ingeborg Chandler of Tulsa, Siblings Thomas Chandler (Lori) of Bixby, James Chandler of Tulsa, Manuela Chandler of Tulsa, Margarita Chandler of Tulsa, nephews Michael Chandler (Jenna) of Bixby Anthony Simmering
of Tulsa, Matthew Ess of Tulsa, and Shelby Ess of Tulsa and his great nieces and nephews and so many friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Larry Chandler and his grandparents.

Mark loved all sports and was passionate about OU Sooners and the NY Yankees. Mark was on the Nathan Hale Rangers' football team in high school and the team won the 1979 State Championship of which Mark was named leading rusher. Mark was also named the Tulsa World All-State Football Player.

Mark was fortunate to have traveled to many international locations but also loved to have fun in Las Vegas with his family.

One of Mark's favorite past times was to spend time with his loyal German Shepherd, Sarge, who was by his side when he passed away peacefully in his home.
Mark had an amazing career and retired after 28 years of loyal service from the City of Tulsa as an Emergency Representative. Post retirement he worked again as a health care supporter for Morton Health Care of Tulsa. Most of Mark's life he worked two jobs so he could provide the best support for his family.

Mark loved being the "treat" guy to all children who visited his home and would even take special orders on brands of cookies and ice cream and popsicle flavors. He loved when he and Victoria had cookouts and a pool full of family and friends and especially his grandkids. He loved being the poolside DJ and driving the crowd crazy with some of his musical choices. As often as he could, he visited his grandkids before school and delivered them donuts or special orders like biscuits and gravy. Then after visiting with the kids, he loved going to his mom's house to have coffee with her.

A memorial service to honor Mark will be held on Saturday, August 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home Eastlawn Chapel at 1908 South Memorial Drive Tulsa, Oklahoma 74112

Honorary Pall Bearers are Thomas Chandler, James Chandler, Margarita Chandler, Manuela Chandler, Adam Perry and Perry Ojeda.
