Marty Abrahamsen, born in Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home in Arcadia, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love of his family.
Marty worked as a District Manager in lubricant oil sales and was known for his dedication, hard work, and ability to connect with everyone he met. Beyond his career, he lived a life full of passion, laughter, and purpose.
A devoted believer in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, Marty carried his faith throughout. He loved serving in LifeKids at church and brought joy, kindness, and humor wherever he went. Marty had an unforgettable outgoing personality and a gift for making people laugh with his jokes and playful spirit. Wherever he went, no matter the season or time of year, Marty never left without saying, "Merry Christmas."
Marty was widely respected as a master chicken breeder and was honored with a nomination into the American Poultry Association Hall of Fame. He loved attending poultry shows and competitions, where his birds often took top honors. His knowledge, dedication, and passion for the poultry world earned him admiration from many friends and fellow breeders.
He also had a remarkable talent for training horses and dogs, and he found peace and happiness in gardening and cross-pollinating flowers. Marty loved creating things with his hands, whether it was homemade pickles, vanilla, or nurturing the life growing around him.
Above all, Marty loved his family and the people around him. He leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter, stories, wisdom, and love. His life was one of joy, faith, hard work, and generosity, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Marty is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Abrahamsen; his daughter, Kara Woolery and spouse Ryan Woolery; his son, Conrad Sky Abrahamsen and fiancée Jessica Nielson; and his seven cherished grandchildren: Lillian Woolery, Tay Woolery, Hunter Woolery, Prim Woolery, Jagger Abrahamsen, Atarah Mize, and Hayden Abrahamsen. He is also survived by his three sisters, two brothers, many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members, and countless dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Fredrick Abrahamsen II and Hildreth Nugent Abrahamsen.
Marty`s funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 10:00AM at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel, with a reception following.
Though our hearts grieve his loss, we celebrate the incredible life he lived and take comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.
