Mary Claudine Eby "Corky" Hickok died December 14 at Montereau in Tulsa, after a long and courageous struggle with Parkinson's Disease. Born 28 December 1934 to Mary Nadine Eby and Seth Gilman Eby, Jr., Mary, known to her family and friends as Corky, grew up in Tulsa, graduated from Tulsa Central High School, and attended the University of Colorado.
An accomplished horsewoman in her youth, Corky was an enthusiastic and active person in anything she did. She was a talented watercolorist, loved decorating her home and garden, and wanted to help others throughout her life. She contributed to World Neighbors, Inc. and was a supporter of the Children's Hospital in Tulsa. She placed a very high value on family and friends, and she enjoyed travel and adventure.
Corky is survived by her husband, Tom Hickok and his family, her sons Phil Hinch and his wife, Debbie, and Grant Hinch and his wife Robin, and her five grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Hailey Woodard, Bradi and Brooke Hinch and Hayden and Jake Hinch. She is also survived by her sister Lois Eby and her husband David Budbill of Vermont and her brother Frank Eby and his wife Gayle of Tulsa, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
