Obituary
Mary Eva Martin, age 83, passed away on June 19, 2024, in Owasso, Oklahoma.
Born January 29, 1941, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mary Eva was the daughter of T.L. Martin and Rena (Graves) Martin. She was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Tulsa Central High School. Mary was a lifelong active member of Nogales Avenue Baptist Church. After high school she attended business college and began working at Blue Cross Blue Shield. In the 1970's she began working as the financial secretary at Nogales Avenue Baptist Church.
She taught many Sunday School classes over the years, including senior adults, and youth. Mary Eva spent many years attending Falls Creek as a young camper as well as sponsor and cook. Mary Eva always looked forward to Falls Creek each summer. She enjoyed making quilts, scrapbooking, and researching family history.
She was preceded in death by her parents, T.L. and Rena Martin.
Mary Eva is survived by numerous cousins as well as her very good friend Joseph Allen Wrest and church family at Nogales Avenue Baptist Church.
Viewing will be 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 26th at Moore's Memory Chapel 1403 S. Peoria Ave., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74120.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Nogales Avenue Baptist Church 102 S. Nogales Ave., Tulsa, Oklahoma, with interment following at 3:00p.m. at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Clarksville, Arkansas.
