Mary Hoffman, 80, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away December 15, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born February 27, 1935 in Overton, Nebraska to Harvey and Margaret (Brennan) Potter.
In 1963, Mary began her career as an accountant for Swanson, Sinkey & Ellis - Lincoln, Nebraska's largest advertising firm at that time. Eight years later, she became head of the department, and was deservedly named Vice President of the Lincoln office in the early 1980s. She was honored many times throughout her career from colleagues and management alike, credited for playing a significant role in the growth and success of the company. Mary retired from the company in the early 1990s due to health reasons and was greatly missed.
Mary Hoffman is survived by her stepson Bruce Hoffman and his wife Gloria of Westminster, Colorado, two nephews: Jim Denney and his wife Sherri Denney of Houston, Texas and Tom Denney and his wife Terri Denney of Broken Arrow. Three grand-nephews: Tommy Denney and wife Sharon, James Denney and his wife Sheena, and Garron Denney, and four great-grand nieces and nephews: Thomas, Tinley, Emma and Jimmy.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her spouse Norm, brother Jimmy Potter, and sister Teresa Denney.
