Mary Joanne Jones died April 21st, 2024 at home surrounded by family in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 84.

Mary Jo is survived by her daughters, Roberta (Bobbie Jo) Fort, of Royce City, TX, Rebecca (Beckie) Higeons and her husband Billy, from Chelsea, OK, Sandra (Sandy) Jones, of Fort Worth, TX, Sharon Raiber, of Tulsa, OK, and Marilyn Jane (Janie) Stege and her husband Pete, of Tulsa, OK. Her sister Beth Randolph and her husband Verle of Owasso, OK. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lawrence (Bob) Jones, her parents Mary Ethel and Arthur Wright, and sister Peggy Simmons.

Mary Jo was born on February 27, 1940 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Will Rogers High School.

She met and married her high school sweetheart Bob Jones in 1958. They welcomed their daughters Bobbie Jo in 1958, Beckie in 1959, Sandy in 1961, Sharon in 63, and Janie in 65. Mary Jo was always interested in crafting and took up ceramics, quilting and other hobbies.

She loved playing cards and games and spending time with her children and sisters.

Visitation for Mary Jo Jones is scheduled for Sunday the 28th of April from 3-6 at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st Street, Tulsa, OK. Memorial Service will be held at the same Chapel and address on Monday the 29th of April at 10:30 a.m. It will be immediately followed by a graveside burial ceremony at Floral Haven at 6500 S. 129th East Avenue in Broken Arrow, OK.
