Obituary
Mary Ona Christian Nail was born December 1, 1924 to Ross and Cornelia Christian in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Cleora High School in 1942. She received her Bachelors from Northeastern State in 1948.
She started teaching at Riverside School in Vinita, Oklahoma. This was a one-room school with first through sixth graders. She taught there for six years.
She married Jack Nail in 1956. They had two sons, Mark Christian Nail and Matthew Parks Nail. She taught at Salk Elementary until 1985 when she retired.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark Christian Nail and Matthew Parks Nail and wife Sallye Beth Nail, two grandchildren Lindsay Christian Nail Thompson and Jackson Lee Nail, and two great-grandchildren Sadie Rose Gattis and Micah Parks Gattis. There are also three step-grandchildren, Madalyn Gudmundsson Brandon Massey, and Christy Brooks-Ishmael and two step-great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Gudmundsson and Isabel Gudmundsson. Mary Ona's family always meant everything to her and she loved all of them dearly.
Preceded in death by husband, Jack Parks Nail, and Sister, Emma Jane Christian.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn918-663-2233
