Obituary

Mary Leona Rogers (Wyatt) was born June 27, 1931 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Velma Mae Johnson (Wyatt) and Walter Jackson Wyatt. She passed from this life peacefully March 2, 2024 at the age of 92. She was surrounded by loving family and caregivers.

Mary married and lived in Henryetta, Oklahoma until they divorced and she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to begin the next chapter of her life having total faith the Lord would guide her in that journey. Mary had no children but she didn't mind telling anyone that Debi Lemieux (Wyatt) was the closet thing to a daughter she had.
Mary loved Debi dearly and Debi loved her Aunt Mary. Debi started driving to Tulsa to see her Aunt when she got her drivers license at the age of 16. That's been over 50 years ago. Debi and her son, Matthew Lemieux really enjoyed these trips and helping Mary enjoy an easier life in Tulsa.

Mary worked for Oxy Petroleum in Tulsa for many years until the company had a reduction of force and she happened to be sitting in one of those positions. She then went to work for Winston Oil Company in Tulsa and worked until the age of 78. After retiring, she was able to volunteer and visit family.

Mary was a Christian woman with a strong belief in her faith. She was a devoted member of Southminister Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mary did a lot of volunteering for her church. She oversaw making the coffee every Sunday by 7:00AM. Everyone looked forward to having her coffee every Sunday morning. She was 83 when she handed it over to a new person. In 2017 she was moved to Oklahoma City so her niece, Debi could take better care of her.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Mae Johnson (Wyatt); her father, Walter Jackson Wyatt, her brothers, Andrew Wyatt, James D. Wyatt, Herman Wyatt & John Wyatt and her sisters, Bertha Bobo and Sheila Fanning.
Mary is survived by her half-brother, Douglas Johnson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
