Mary Ellen (Taylor) May, 81, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Tulsa. Mary passed away just six days after her husband, Orval. Born February 2, 1935 in Enid, Oklahoma to Clyde Allen & Leona (Lyne) Taylor. Mary then moved to Oklahoma City and studied piano with Helen Lord. Mary attended Oklahoma Central University and was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega and Sigma Alpha Iota. Mary and Orval were married April 26, 1958 in Oklahoma City and then moved to Tulsa where Mary worked for Tidewater Oil Company. Mary was an active member of First Baptist Church for 58 years and played the piano for numerous Sunday School divisions as well as Choir and Training Union.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Moss May Jr.; her parents Clyde and Leona Taylor and her brother Richard Allen Taylor. She is survived by daughters Sherry Lynn Crosby and son-in-law Jim of Tulsa and Shauna Lee Bishop and son-in-law Huett of Beaufort, South Carolina; Grandsons, Nicholas Alan Crosby; Nathan Austin Crosby and wife Amber; Great Grandson Dylan James Crosby.
