Marylu Wunsch (Hopkins)
"Gran"

Marylu Wunsch, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 87.

Marylu was known to her close family simply as "Gran" or "Grandma". She was married to the love of her life, Robert Wunsch, "Papa", with whom she built a life centered on family, faith, and generosity. Robert preceded her in death, as did her beloved daughter, Luanne Wunsch, who passed away in her youth.

Marylu was a devoted mother to Janelle Hottovy, Todd Wunsch, and Travis Wunsch, as well as a loving stepmother to Dawn Wunsch and Derek Wunsch, all of whom preceded her in death, except for Janelle, Todd, and Travis. She took on each role with an open heart and unwavering care.

She was a proud and deeply involved grandmother to Hank Hottovy and Emma Hottovy, children of Janelle and her husband, Lee Hottovy; Eden Wunsch, daughter of Travis and Rebekka; Bennet Wunsch, daughter of Todd and Paxton; Leon Wunsch, husband to Alexz; Callie Caroon, wife of Joe; and great-grandchildren Sydney Caroon and Marlee Wunsch. Additionally, she leaves behind several nieces and nephews and their families.

Marylu had a special way of showing love through action. She worked at QuikTrip for over 25 years. Her dedication and loyalty were well known-so much so that she would happily go miles out of her way just to find a QuikTrip for gas. Earlier in life, she was a stay-at-home mom who poured herself into her family and church community. She opened the church gym on Wednesday nights, welcoming neighborhood kids to play volleyball, share snacks, and feel cared for; taught Sunday School; and hosted the church youth group after evening services every Sunday.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Moore's Eastlawn, located at 1908 South Memorial, Tulsa, OK, between the hours of 12:00 and 5:00 pm. Service will be on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:30 at the Moore's Eastlawn Chapel Eastlawn Chapel located at 1908 South Memorial, Tulsa, OK, with a graveside service to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Todd Wunsch, Travis Wunsch, Hank Hottovy, Jake Whitbeck, John Watches, Tyler Schroeder, Leon Wunsch and Brandon Dudley will serve as pallbearers.
Marylu will be remembered for her selflessness, her reliability, her quiet strength, and the way she made people feel welcome and loved. Her legacy lives on through the family she held so close and the many lives she touched.
