Obituary
Matthew Samuel "Matt" Henthorn, 35, of Tulsa died January 11th, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital after a sudden illness.
Matt was born in Norman, OK in 1983 to Paul and Jeanine (Whitney) Henthorn. After the family relocated to Nashville, he attended St. Edward Elementary school and graduated from Father Ryan High School. He moved to Tulsa to attend the University of Tulsa, graduating cum laude in 2006.
He worked for Deloitte in Tulsa before beginning his current job for Blue Knight Energy Partners where he was a Senior Apps Analyst/Developer. He loved travel, fitness, cycling, cooking, music, photography, friends and, most recently, home improvement. He became an avid OKC Thunder fan when the team was moved to OKC.
He is survived by his partner Liz Martin, parents Paul and Jeanine and grandmother Joan Whitney, as well as a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his dogs Rufus and Ringo.
He we preceded in death by grandparents Roy and Norma Henthorn, Verna Whitney and Jack Whitney.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, January 19th at Chimera, 212 N. Main St. in Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Organization for Rare Diseases, http://rarediseases.org .
