Maurice E. Woodworth, 87, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 1977, in Tulsa, OK. He was born on Friday, February 28, 1890, in Bay City, MI, to Charles Sumner Woodworth and Carrie A. (Buck) Woodworth. Maurice was a former long-time Linotype operator for the Tulsa Tribune. He retired in 1956, after 50 years of employment with The Tribune and a forerunner newspaper, The Tulsa Democrat. Maurice had been active in Boy Scout and Cub Scout work for many years, in Tulsa, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and the Tulsa Genealogical Society. He is survived by his wife, Anna K. (Mathison) Woodworth of the home; daughters, Mrs. Ernie Glasby of Tulsa, OK, and Mrs. Ivan R. "Louise" Meek of Tulsa, OK; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Guy A. Woodworth of Tulsa, OK; and a lifetime of friends.
