Mavis F. Disdier, 89, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Tulsa, Ok. her parents were Aussie Mae and Fredrick Blackwell. Mavis attended Central High School and graduated in 1950.

Mavis met the love of her life George Disdier when she was 16 years old and married him in 1950. Their nickname as a couple was Lucy and Desi, she would say when reminiscing over how they fell in love.

They married and had 3 children Randy and his wife Sandra, Deidre who was Mavis's care giver and Lisa and her husband Frank. followed by 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a loyal member to the Jehovah Witness Congregation for over 68 years, and you would often see her spreading the good news on Saturday mornings with others from her congregation.

When she was not with the Congregation, she was home taking care of her family and husband and took great pride in being a care giver to the ones she loved.

She was a lover of fashion, drawing, and music. She saw the beauty in all things. You could often find her drawing when no one was looking or humming her favorite tune when she was cooking in the kitchen. She loved to watch the birds and the squirrels it was something she did every day and found peace in.

She found peace and had a strong undeniable faith that she shared with everyone. She had her trust in the lord and her hope was in the Resurrection into the New World, were there would be peace at last, through our Reigning King Jesus Christ. She never wavered and would have joy at the journey to come.

She will be remembered and missed by all she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 11 at the Moore Funeral Home, Southlawn Chapel. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, January 12, 2023 in the Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
