Obituary

Latonias "Max" Hyree Nichols passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Ok.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, June 4 at Moore's Funeral Home Chapel located at 9350 E. 51st Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Max was born on May 1, 1971 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the only child of Anita Nichols and Rayphield Knox.

Max had many passions and loves in this life. Among them were drawing, cooking, shopping, fellowshippng with friends and family and sharing his love for Jesus with others.
Max was a big cut-up and was always "keepin" noise as he would say. He had a humorous disposition always ready to deliver the laughs. He played and joked around with everyone. His witty humor lifted spirits and kept everyone entertained.

Max loved to cook and enjoyed preparing home-cooked meals. In addition to his humor, cooking for others was another way he felt he was looking after or taking care of loved ones. Max was a sharp dressed man. He was known for his eye for fashion and had a keen ability to dress anyone. He enjoyed shopping online for just the right pieces, especially shoes and watches to bring an outfit together or complete a "look". He was always inspired by a "classic" look. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, The Heat, and The Thunder.

Above all Max cherished his beloved wife Kelly, son Maximus Sloan, daughter Stephanie Chardonnay, daughter Caylen Ranata and granddaughter Chloe Renaye.

His grandmother had been his best buddy since childhood and his Aunt Naomi had been a second mom to him. He loved his cousins like brothers and had a standing call daily with Bean Bag. His father held a special place in his heart and Max would look forward to long conversations with him. However, Max reserved a special affection for his dear mother, Nickie. He held the highest esteem for her. He joked and cut up with her more than anyone. He admired her strength and perseverance. She was his "rock". A lifelong testament to selfless love. He was eternally grateful for his mother.

Max loved the Lord with all his heart and was diligent to seek the Lord daily. He loved to share the truth of the word with others and regularly spent hours teaching and speaking into their lives.
Max was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
