Steinley, Maxine "Marilyn", 95, died Saturday, May 17, 2014.
She was born in Okemah, Oklahoma May 14, 1919, to W. Frank & Mary
Bernice (Gibb) Davis. She moved with her family to Woodward,
Oklahoma in 1927. After graduation, she worked for Southwestern Bell
Telephone Co and in 1946 moved with her husband to Tulsa where she lived until her death. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Victor Steinley and beloved granddaughter, Emily. Marilyn was a member of Yale Avenue Presbyterian Church.
Marilyn was a devoted wife and mother and a volunteer at her church, Girl
Scouts and PTA. She was also a charter member of the Board of Emergency Infant Services in Tulsa.
Marilyn is survived by her three daughters and their families:
Trish Steinley Davis, husband, Dennis, Prescott. AZ, Merry Steinley Ludewig, husband, Mike, Claremore, OK., Vicki Steinley, Mapleton, OR, 3 Grandchildren: Julia Slone Roberts, husband, Tristan, Jessica Van Noecker, husband, Luke, Matthew Setser, wife, Shilynn. and 2 great grandchildren: Felix & Natasha Emily, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Yale Avenue Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m., May 20, 2014 at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday May 21, 2014, at Memorial Park Chapel; internent will follow at Memorial Park Cemetary.
