Melba Jane Mitchell, 99, passed away Friday, January 22nd, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born to William Marvin and Amy Iona (Bare) Jeffries on April 12th, 1916 in Westville, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Mitchell, Jr., her parents, five sisters and four brothers.

Melba is survived by sons: Robert E. Mitchell, III and wife Susan, James B. Mitchell and wife Judy; grandchildren: Brian Mitchell and wife Stacy, Lauren Mitchell Mincey and husband Bill, Lindsay Mitchell Palazzolo and husband Anthony, Melanie Mitchell Betts and husband Mike; great-grandchildren: Anna Rose Palazzolo, Lydia Brooke Mitchell, Charlotte Kate Palazzolo, Maggie Lucille Mincey, Nolan Jordan Mitchell, Lily Jane Mincey, Milo Rostam Betts, and Graham Burke Mitchell. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5111 S. Memorial Dr., Tulsa, Oklahoma.
