Obituary

Michael Jay Ingraham, chef, storyteller, and world's most adored husband, father, father-in-law, brother, friend and Papa passed away on August 10, 2015. Michael was born August 15th, 1951 in Oklahoma City, OK to Fred Ingraham and Alice (Wilson) Ingraham. He grew up all over OK, eventually traveling the country in service to his entrepreneurial spirit that took him to Las Vegas, Dallas, Irving, Oklahoma City and eventually Tulsa. He was a born salesman and respected leader in many companies; he planned to retire and take his darling wife on many, many cruises and trips to Europe to recreate the joy they found in Italy in 2008.

His first marriage produced two amazing children, Angela and Danny, and a lifelong co-parent and friend in Barbara Baird. His second, enduring loving marriage to Diana (Bolain) Ingraham produced one child, Natalie Ingraham, and 34 years of wedded bliss (unless there was a home renovation involved). Mike's 5 grandchildren, ranging in age from 23 years to 5 weeks, were a great delight in his life and he relished his role as an adoring Papa.

Mike's second love in life, beyond Diana, was cooking. He took immense delight in feeding his family amazing meals (he never met a stick of butter or dollop of heavy cream he didn't like) at holidays or even weekly Sunday dinners – a tradition started to feed his parents-in-law that continued until his death, cooking for his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Diana; children Angela, Danny and Natalie; honorary kids Jason, Kelli, and Rory; and his father and stepmother, Fred and Joyce Ingraham. He is preceded in death by his loving mother Alice; his brother Kenneth; and his adored Bolain clan of Jim and Nedra Bolain, whom he lovingly cared for many years before their deaths. He is also preceded in death by his beloved dog, Sparky; they're probably "singing" together again in the great beyond.

Mike was loved, admired, and respected by all he graced with his presence. A celebration of his life will be held at the Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st, Tulsa, OK on Friday, August 14th, 2015 at 10:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to one of the charities that Mike supported during his life: March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
